Parts Trader was introduced solely to provide a simple solution to the problems often found whilst trying to locate vehicle parts.

Formed in 1991, we are one of the original car parts location services and in all this time has been a leading force in the modern vehicle dismantling industry and used car parts location.

Always an innovator, from originally providing a telephone call centre service to persons looking for car parts and spares and faxing them at intervals throughout the day to car breakers across the county, we have always been the 1st to take advantage of new technology to help motorists to save money on car parts.

We were the 1st to see and send car parts requests by fax machines, way back in 1991. We then invested in Data Broadcast Decoders and broadcast car parts requests via the television network, which were printed "Live" at the breakers yards on small tele-printers all over the country. With the advent of the internet, we were the 1st car parts location service to introduce a car part finder web site. In fact we have one of the oldest registered car parts web sites in the UK, way back in the mid 90's! More importantly, we saw the advantage of Two Way communication offered by the internet and were again 1st to provide an interface for Dismantlers, allowing them to not only read details of car parts wanted but also respond and send personal quotes for car parts directly back to you via email and sms.

We established Trader Group in 2005 with a vision of launching our product across the world.  In 2008 we launched our service in USA, France, Germany and Spain. And we intend on launching in Africa Autumn 2010. Within 5 years we expect to have coverage in over 60% of the African continent. We have chosen Ghana as our gateway as through our research we have found that it boasts a stable and growing economy.

There are now many similar copycat car parts services on the web, some old and many new, however even though this may be considered a compliment, none have the experience and expertise we have gathered over the past 15 years, resulting in regularly over 17’000 people every day using our parts service sites to locate quality car parts across the world.
